Light steel structures are incombustible, versatile (for walls, floors, roof trusses) and of consistent quality. They don't warp or become distorted and they don't lose their load-bearing capacity in aging. They are insect-resistant and are better adapted to LEED requirements of new insulation, soundproofing and forest conservation standards.
